Duty Free Philippines DFP

Some years ago The Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) were tasked with the responsibility of establishing a duty free retail system in the country, this business became DFP, the Duty Free Philippines Corporation. The business opened its first store in the baggage claim arrivals area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in 1987 and it now has outlets throughout the country.

These outlets now include, Cebu Mactan International Airport, Fiesta Mall in Parañaque City, Arrival & Departure Stores at the NAIA, the Waterfront Hotel in Lahug, Cebu and at the Davao International Airport inbound arrivals area. The business has a very good interactive website featuring most of the listed duty free products and prices, but like many other locations, tobaccos information is not available.

How does duty free work, can you buy, which products do they sell, what shops are available, do they open for my flight, best prices?.

There is a long list of duty-free related questions asked by travellers before they start their journey.
